Knight Rider

So you do not have cable. And your a car boy. And there is a writers strike. and you grew up loving your Knight Rider big wheel. What do you do on Sunday night? You watch the Knight Rider made for tv [soon to be series] movie on NBC.

OK it was so bad but I loved every minute of this. It was so predictable and just lame and out of touch. They even made a tacky homosexual reference in which they thought they were being funny but it was tacky. Rebel hottie + Girly + Hot car + Terrorists = plot. Basically just as bad as if we actually watched and original Knight Rider today.  The Hoff is replaced by his son, Mike Tracer performed by [who?] Justin Bruening.  So not my style but i was digging him by the end. I even tried to win my own KITT car plus 3 other Ford cars. Focus / Fusion / Edge? Blahh, Edge please? And I'm not into CUVs. A word about it. This was a two hour Ford commercial.

It is a Ford Mustang Shelby GT KR. Longest Car name Ever? Its OK. Kitt grows on you by the end of the show. Hes like a loving yet annoying dog. I would not pick A Mustang for the spot though. Its no Trans AM. But then again, There is no Trans Am today. What would I choose? I have no clue. I do not know why GM didnt feel like paying and have that shiny new Corvette ZR1

Oh and the theme music is still hott.

Jacques Renault - My new Boyfriend

Someone may have told you, but I love disco. as in kinda pretty much obsessed. Deep and sexxy. the harder the better. After the end of a sick mix I wanna be sweaty.

Let me towel off. A month or two ago I stumbled upon Jacques Renault on rcrdlbl.com (mostly fantastic, free, legal tracks). The track offered is Magic Games. A sexxy modern Brooklyn "disco edit" piece in the likes of a new fave Holy Ghost! but more closely aligned with the modern classic Metro Area. I dug it.

Fast forward to last week. I have a good friend named Justin who knows I love disco and also has impeccable taste. (see for yourself on his regularly updated podcasts)

I asked for sexy disco, I got porn. [via allez-allez.com]
And you know boys love porn.

This mix is amazing. Just stunning. Mixes new with old and well, Im just all stupid for this. Much more soul and bongos and horns and divas and well just the stuff that is designed to create piles of things next to your bed. You get my idea.

Now onto the boyfriend front. I mean this guy is just sex. Sexy music. Sexy looks. Sexy name. Im sure he sounds sexy too. Randomly, Justin is an acquaintance with Jacques. I told him that I would do him. He replied that Jacques had girls lined up down the hall. Justin, please tell Jacques that I'll work harder.

Its a color and material party!

So I was browsing autoblog.com as I usually do, I came across this little gem of a video from Autoline Detroit. This episode? Automotive color and material! The episode tackles grain, material, color, and of course design. Public access goodness at its bestest.

Super Bonus time? One of the three guests for this episode is my very good friend and mentor Chris Webb.

I am getting a flu shot next season

Well the excuses keep piling up. Now I just wrapped up a major case of the flu. If that was the flu, I do not think I've ever had the proper flu before and was only just whining because of a sniffle. Anyways, health is in check. The iMac is back. so lets get this party started, cause this blog is like famous.

Its a little late to do the Detroit coverage so I am going to pass. But I do have some music to share. The other stuff will come soon too.

Last night I was craving some disco and was scouring some new funk to satisfy my tastes. I hit the Solid Gold mine. The blog is the global friendly version to a monthly party in Helsinki. It does not seem to be updated often, but its new to our eyes. Some minor navigating will take you to their sounds page full of soulful paradise. its more funk than disco, but beggars can't be choosers. Stay on the homepage you are treated to a dozen dj mixes in lovely downloadable mp3 format for your itunes enjoyment later.

More to come soon! I promise!
